Deleted Comments: We Were Very Mean To Barack Obama And Those Girl Scouts And We Should Feel Bad

Dear Princess Celestia... As a dragon, I find Hearth's Warming Eve to be very offensive.
Beyond all the half-priced candy, one thing we like about going to the store after Christmas is the sudden arrival of pallets of storage supplies — it holds out the hope that if you just buy the right plastic bins, you’ll be free of all the clutter that’s built up during the year. And so we bring you our own efforts at cleaning out the muck: A bunch of detritus from the comments queue, which we now won’t have to think about any more. Let’s start with some people we have upset with our unwarranted cruelty. For some reason, our piece on Barack Obama wearing a tiara while taking a photo with some girl scouts rubbed a few people the wrong way, perhaps because we said wearing a tiara betrayed Barack Hussein Obama’s desire for absolute power. “Thea” took us to task for being so mean to a decent, honorable man: Read more on Deleted Comments: We Were Very Mean To Barack Obama And Those Girl Scouts And We Should Feel Bad…

Deleted Comments Of The Week: Why Don’t You People Cover The Important Stories?

Dear Sir or Madame: I am outraged by the lack of variety in the .gifs on this blog!
It’s the weekend, and time to catch up on some vital maintenance — refill the poison rat dick stockpiles, top off the Pony cache, and slop out the comments queue, that sort of thing. And we have some real winners from would-be commenters today, ranging from wingnuts who want to set us straight, to would-be allies who we’d rather not invite into our parlor. Deleted Comments Of The Day: How Dare You Call Anyone A Racist When The Blacks Are Such Criminals?

Scootaloo is neither a gun owner nor Jewish, as far as we know. She worships Rainbow Dash
Time for another trip to the slop bucket that is our Comments Queue, and we have a fine variety of the loveliest Dear Shitferbrainses you could hope for this time out. First up, one “DakirSmith” was quite upset with us for slurring fired racist radio guy Anthony Cumia as a “racist.” UNFAIR! No way is Anthony Cumia a racist, and we would know that if only we’d hung on every word Anthony Cumia has ever said about black people, like DakirSmith has: Read more on Deleted Comments Of The Day: How Dare You Call Anyone A Racist When The Blacks Are Such Criminals?…

Deleted Comments Of The Day: Why U So Gay-Murdery, Wonkette Nazi Hoors?

Sometimes we wonder about some of you people. OK, not YOU, loyal Wonkaloos, but you, over there, the one who just got here and decided that you really need to set us straight about le justice social and los correctnesses politicale. In response to a throwaway line in Wonkette’s story yesterday about that billboard with the Hitler Quote that Never Was, we received this very, very upset message from “Sephia825″: “And then they shoved his head in a toilet and drowned him to death for being such a FAG.” Really?! What is so wrong with being a gay / fag? Are we suggesting that if one is a true “fag” they deserve this kind of treatment? Dear Sephia825: This was an example of the comic use of “hyperbole,” or in the common parlance, a pun*. Yr Wonkette would never subject a gay / fag (or nerd Jew) to a lethal swirly. We only prescribe that punishment for concern trolls. Also, what kind of cut-rate commenter takes their username from a Kia automobile? That is just too faggy for words. Deleted Comments Of The Week: A Slushpile Sampler

It’s been a little while since our comments queue overflowed with good old fashioned vitriol, and as we’ve noted previously, we simply don’t seem to get the kind of unhinged semiliterate rants that made us all feel like worthly Wokette skum. Maybe that’s a reflection of the waning influence of the tea party? Happily, there’s a nonstop supply of derp out there, and some of it inevitably finds its way to Your Wonkette, where we recycle it for your snarking pleasure. Campbell Brown Wouldn’t Hurt Planned Parenthood If It Didn’t Make Her So Mad

Did you ever wonder why the GOP seems determined to defund Planned Parenthood and wage constant and consistent attacks on women’s health care? Good, because Campbell Brown, former CNN anchor and the wife of a Romney advisor, has the answer for you: it’s not because of a war on caterpillars women, it’s because Planned Parenthood is run by uppity bitches who won’t compromise. Slate Explains: Democrats to Blame for GOP’s War Against Women

Perhaps you have been concerned lately that maybe the Democrats were not being blamed hard enough for the GOP’s nationwide freakout about ladies, their plumbing, and how sometimes said ladies leave the men who hit them instead of nutting up and trying for once not to burn the goddamn roast. Popular outlet for “contrarian” and plain old “counterintuitive” writers and thinkers Slate is here to help! “Are Democrats in Danger of Looking Too Political on the Violence Against Women Act?” asks the headline. “Yes,” answers the story. Really? Really! Here is the lead paragraph (or “lede graf” in Journalism!) of J. Bryan Lowder’s richly nuanced thinkpiece: In the “War on Women” that’s been raging these past few months, it’s clear that the Democrats have succeeded in framing the debate in their favor. The GOP—especially in the recent Obama contraception mandate controversy—has been painted as the anti-woman party, and even Republican insiders fear that the misstep could cost them dearly in an election year in which women will represent a significant portion of the voting public.
