Chris Matthews seemed reserved most of last night, until around 11 p.m. ET when he decided to scream at some Texas state senator who supports Barack Obama. You can watch this brilliant piece of television history here. While Matthews’ arbitrary tantrum drew most of the attention, it was somewhat pathetic that this state senator, Kirk Watson, couldn’t name a single accomplishment of Barack Obama’s on national teevee. But like most Americans, Watson has a blog, and today he wrote a response that begins, “So … That really happened.” And then he whines and posts some silly LOLcats and stuff. [Kirk Watson]

Yikes. What’s gotten into Our Chris Matthews? He’s apparently a Clinton fan now! Watch him harass this Texas state senator, an Obama supporter, for several minutes. He DEMANDS the senator name a single Barack Obama accomplishment. To quote Matthews: “Sir, you have to give me his accomplishments. You’ve supported him for president, you’re on national television, name his legislative accomplishments, Barack Obama’s, sir.” Is Tweety having his period?
