PAT ROBERTSON: STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD
Did we sound unimpressed when we mentioned earlier that Pat Robertson can leg press 2,000 pounds? If so, we wish to rectify that now: PAT ROBERTSON CAN LEG PRESS 2,000 FUCKING POUNDS! How do we know it’s true? His spokesman told CBS Sportsline:
[“]His doctor, by the way, has leg pressed 2,700 pounds. It is not nearly as hard as the authors of these reports make it out to be. We have multiple witnesses to the 2,000 pound leg press, plus video of the 10 reps of 1,000 pounds.”
HOLY SHIT! Pat Robertson’s doctor is DR. BRUCE BANNER. Or possibly Jesus HIMSELF.
Robertson also claims to bench press 2,000 pounds. The current world record is slightly over 1,000.
Columnist Clay Travis, who initially found the leg press claims dubious, has acknowledged Robertson’s strength, as well he should. “It has recently come to my attention that you are the Strongest Man in the World,” says Travis, who proceeds to foolishly challenge Robertson to a series of feats of strength. We are totally Christians now, by the way.

The two most plausible answers to this situation are the following: a) Pat Robertson is involved with BALCO b) Pat Robertson is Magneto.

It's always been a theory of mine that when the GOP is in trouble, they call up Robertson and say, "Hey, Pat. Do that 'crazy' routine again. We're drownin' in trouble over here and could use a distraction or two." And Pat, without missing a beat, says, "Say no more. I'm the strongest man in the world, God struck down Ariel Sharon, and gays cause hurricanes. ... That the sorta thing you're looking for?" "It's perfect, Pat, perfect."

If he comes to my gym and leg presses 2000 pounds, I will fuck him. Seriously. If he wants. Or if he prefers, I will pray with him. Holding his actual slimy hands. In fact, if Pat Robertson is even shown credibly on film leg pressing 2000 pounds, anywhere, the fuck/pray offer holds. I'm a big fan of people who can monster leg press, as well as striving for that goal myself. . . .

About 9 years ago I saw a guy do 3 quiet, humble sets of 1000 pounds, and that's the most I've ever seen anyone do, and I've not seen anyone come close to that 1000 pounds since. (Although I keep hoping, and I'm trying to get there myself.) I have a pretty high level of confidence in this bet.
