So this morning I was watching a local FOX station and they did a news story about how vulnerable our Los Angeles ports are to terrorism; why a strike at the port would devastate the national economy, and how there is no way to stop it. Hello NewsBusters? Can we get someone on these guys please?

NOOO! If they kill the Times, then where am I going to get my fix of high society wedding announcements?
My week just cannot begin without the heartwarming tale of one WASP who went to Harvard, and another WASP (who is keeping her name) who went to Yale. It was a love-hate relationship from the start, you know. But somehow, against all odds, love [sniff!] blossomed.
That, and hard-hitting, provocative sports coverage from the acid pen of George Vescey. It's the best. Investigative reporting? Bah! Can't hold a candle to sports coverage with a healthy dose of pretension and ennui.
