Fun with Spam: Fool Us Once
Here at Wonkette, we get tons of reader email (which explains our failure to reply to your message from several weeks ago, for which we apologize). And we also get tons of spam.
We've gotten pretty good at recognizing spam very quickly. We don't even bother opening those messages offering “cia1is” and “0em software,” and we send that email from “MISS MARIAH TAYLOR,” subject line “urgent confidential,” straight to the trash.
But sometimes those wily spammers succeed in getting us to open their messages:
In hindsight, we shouldn't have fallen for this one. Just like Karl Rove, Dick Cheney can be called many things (e.g., “evil genius,” “bad hunter”); but “moron” is not one of them.

You know, the body of this email reads like some pretty heavy sound poetry. It's actually kind of awesome.

This email is neither spam nor about Cheney. It announces the slogan of everyone who ever went to sleep with a woman they thought was an Elizabeth Vargas and woke up with an obvious Barbara Walters.
I'll say it again, DiMaggio had a great eye for talent.
