You might remember that earlier this year, Pennsylvania had gay marriage rammed down its throat and we rejoiced and were glad. But in a weird quirk of Santorum law, though the gays can get hitched in Pennsylvania, they are not actually protected under discrimination laws.
Recently, a bridal salon took full advantage of that legally sanctioned bigotry and turned away a lesbian couple that wanted to sample their bridal lady dress wares, and they did so with the usual sanctimonious bullshit that you've come to expect from this kind of person.
The unidentified couple tried to schedule an appointment at W.W. Bridal Boutique in Bloomsburg, only to be told by an employee that the owner currently “[does] not service same-sex couples.”
“We feel we have to answer to God for what we do,” owner Victoria Miller told The Press Enterprise. And providing those two girls dresses for a sanctified marriage would break God’s law.”
After being on the receiving end of that prim little bit of disapproval, the couple took to Facebook to express their unhappiness at being treated shabbily, like you do. You'd think the story would stop there, particularly because this all made the news a few days ago, which is like light years in internet time, but that's because you didn't count on Breitbart turning on the derp signal about the whole thing and yelling at their mouth-breathing readership about how the lesbian bridezillas were literally forcing the bridal shop to marry them right then and there at gunpoint and then they turned to the Family Research Council for some really thoughtful analysis.
“Instead of showing the tolerance their movement claims to practice, the women turned to social media to bully the shop – trashing its online reviews and sparking a city-wide firestorm,” said Family Research Council (FRC). “Obviously W.W. Bridal Boutique isn’t the only wedding dress shop in town. These women could have easily taken their business elsewhere – but chose to retaliate instead.”
Referring to the leftist gay activist agenda as “forced acceptance,” FRC said, “When religious liberty clashes with homosexuality – as it has from bakeries to flower shops – the storylines are all the same: conform or be punished.”
You guys, why is it that the Breitbarts and the FRCs of the world utterly fail to understand capitalism? Like do you think we should do a Kickstarter campaign to send them all a copy of an Adam Smith book? Or should we just call them over and over and yell FREE MARKET BITCHES? Something's got to get through to these people.
Haha that will never happen, because to acknowledge that it is perfectly permissible to tell other people not to take their business to bigots would deprive them of one of their favorite howler-monkey screech topics: the gays are the real haters since they won't let people just be haters in peace.
We really hope bigots are forced out of all bridal-related businesses soon, because these stories about who won't serve who, and who posts to Facebook about it, are kinda boring. Except when Breitbart gets all het up. Then they're awesome.

"providing those two girls dresses for a sanctified marriage would break God’s law.”
The Bible has some pretty odd and creepy parts, but I'm pretty sure this ain't anywhere in it.
I think the way they use it like a crutch just belies more of their never-ending problems with projection.
"Tolerance," is it now? YOU FIRST, "CHRISTIAN"
