• KEEP TALKING, ASSHOLES: “WASHINGTON — Conservative talk show hosts and columnists have ridiculed an 11-year-old Washington state boy’s account of his mother’s death as a ‘sob story’ exploited by the White House and congressional Democrats like a ‘kiddie shield’ to defend their health care legislation.” Well, they’re pretty much right. It was the manipulative Democrats who forced Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin and Glenn Beck to publicly mock an 11-year-old boy and his dead mother. [McClatchy]

  1. I think the next step for Rush/Glenn/Michelle/Otherassholes is to start hollering about every March of Dimes telethon or ALS walkathon or Kids With Cancer fundraiser and for all of them to say “why can’t these kids get jobs and pay their own damn medical bills it isn’t our fault they got cancer!” etc etc

  2. As someone whose mother died when I was 7 and she was 32 I am beyond appalled at this and astounded by this boy’s bravery in the face of these complete turds. Sans Snark

  3. “Now this is unseemly, exploitative, an 11-year-old boy being forced to tell his story all over just to benefit the Democrat Party and Barack Obama,” Limbaugh said on March 12, according to a transcript his show.

Really, how dare they. We as a nation should be teaching the poor, old, helpless and otherwise exploitable populations how to shut up and suffer in silence so they’ll be grateful for their handouts from the church basement that they get in return for attending mass.

This Obamacare socialism just removes the important job that The LORD does in providing inadequate, piecemeal and geographically random support for poor people.

  4. [re=533979]Gorillionaire[/re]: Maybe they can do a telethon themselves to raise money to throw at people with Parkinson’s Disease

  5. Dear Mr. Jeebus (and whoever else is in charge of America):

I hereby tender my resignation from your organization. While I have enjoyed my tenure here, I fear that, because “the lunatics have taken over the asylum,” it is best that I explore other ventures. I would also request your cooperation as a reference. In the future, if you should receive any inquiries from those offering me opportunities (e.g. alcoholism, death, France) your endorsement would be much appreciated.

  6. [re=533987]SayItWithWookies[/re]: Will you just STFU? You’re helping them out here. They won’t even have to edit that one, it’s going straight into every AOL cut n’ paste email and online comments section stet.

  7. an 11-year-old boy being forced to tell his story

Anyone who supports torture doesn’t get to whine about the government forcing anyone to say anything.

  8. Malkin has a history of being especially vicious to children, when they are the spawn of “radical left, liberal” parents with an Obamacare agenda.

  9. I just can’t expect anything else from these haters and bigots. I’m sad that Rush received the excellent health care he did, when hospitalized for his heart condition. The world would truly be a better place without him.

  10. The wingnutties best be careful of the senior Senator from the Soviet of Washington. Senator Patty, our mom in tennis shoes, keeps a large wrench in her purse and she knows how to to torque maladjusted nuts just so.

  11. [re=533980]Limeylizzie[/re]: I lost my mother at age 13 and I agree with you. What a brave boy he is and how completely souless these “people” are.

  12. I feel bad for Marcelas (whatchoo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?)Owens, I really do, but on the other hand, Limbaugh’s piggery makes me feel less guilty about making fun of Sarah Palin for naming her retarded baby Tri-g, which means retard, if he is really even her baby at all. Also Santorum’s dorky brats and Huckabee’s family of fat.

  13. What I like most about the wingbots is how they have subtly moved from

“Don’t be lazy. Work for what you have.”

“You don’t need insurance as the working poor. There are plenty of fine charitable institutions that will carry you.”

  14. How dare those Democrats; getting folks to tell sad stories of family who died in ways that could have been prevented just to get people to support a bill designed to stop those very sorts of deaths! It’s all so devious and nasty.

“Owens’ grandmother, Gina, who watched her daughter die, isn’t quite so generous.

“These are adults, and he is an 11-year-old boy who lost his mother,” Gina Owens said. “They should be ashamed.” ”

Sorry, grandmom, but you should know that these people have no sense of shame.

  15. [re=533987]SayItWithWookies[/re]:

Nice! Are they still giving handouts at the church basement? I thought it was blowjobs for boys under 12.

    [re=534000]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: Good.

  16. [re=534030]gurukalehuru[/re]: It’s different when we make fun of them because we do it humorously. Haha. Besides, when you drag your retard baby around all hours of the night and day as a prop to show your screaming throng of admirers that you didn’t abort the kid, you deserve to be made fun of.

It’s incredible, the shit these people have managed to turn into unamerican socialism. Like buying American autos, or favoring jobs for American workers. Or, of course, empathy.

And on NPR I actually heard one of these dickwads call himself one of the “silent majority.” Silent, my ass.

  17. They’re not voting until Sunday Wonketeers, as I said yesterday, these hateful wingtards are going to go down yelling and pointing, and then pop back up like Jason and start suing and tenthing our asses.

  18. [re=534038]Mr Blifil[/re]: Marcelas is a smart little kid. He says stuff like “My mother always taught me they can have their own opinion but that doesn’t mean they are right….” There is also this, from the article: “Marcelas Owens said he’ll never know if his mother might have lived if she had health insurance. ‘At least if she had it she would’ve had a fighting chance,’ he said.”

Pretty good for eleven years old. Maybe grandma prompted him, but it’s still pretty good.

  19. Fuck ’em. I just gave $50 to Hopey to push this thing through and called my Rep to thank him for supporting the bill. This HAS TO PASS.

  20. Hey Rush and Malkin and Beck know they can make fun of this kid all they want, because what’s he going to do, go crying to his mommy?

apropos, I turned on talk radio and heard this guy telling me to say “I don’t care” every time I hear a “sob story” and to treat these people like New Yorkers treat crack addicted pan handlers, because apparently they’re just going to take all that healthcare money and spend it on crack. People with pre-existing conditions violated their insurance contract (which apparently specifically prohibits pre-existing conditions) and deserve to be dropped. Also.

Expect to see a lot more mocking from radio listeners.

  21. [re=534000]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: Hey, I was mocking them first — their steadily increasing derangement is what’s causing the confusion. To paraphrase Saint Ronnie the First, my satire didn’t join the Republican Party — the Republican Party joined my satire.

  22. [re=533987]SayItWithWookies[/re]: amen?
    right on, Marcelas!
oh noes. cant we just send them to the death panels after the vote?
Just cant stand it anymore, fuc*ers.

  23. There’s just really nothing to say here. We are beyond snark, beyond satire, beyond parody. The conservative punditry has declared its newest enemy to be an eleven year old boy who recently watched his mother die. What can you even say to this shit?

If there was a hell, and Rush, Malkin, et alia went there, I am genuinely concerned that they would wind up in charge of it.

  24. [re=533978]Naked Bunny with a Whip[/re]: Hell, Beck has recently started attacking the concept of social justice (it’s code for socialism), and telling viewers they should leave any churches that use the phrase[re=534033]WIDTAP[/re]: .

[re=534033]WIDTAP[/re]: ‘At this festive season of the year, Mr Scrooge,’ said the gentleman, taking up a pen, ‘it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir.’
    ‘Are there no prisons?”

‘Plenty of prisons,’ said the gentleman, laying down the pen again.

‘And the Union workhouses.’ demanded Scrooge. ‘Are they still in operation?’

    ‘Both very busy, sir.’

‘Many can’t go there; and many would rather die.’

‘If they would rather die,’ said Scrooge, ‘they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.’

  25. Limbaugh is just proud of the fact that when his mother died, he didn’t cry like some little boy but did the manly thing and masturbated to gay porn.

  26. Just got back from George Mason U, where we waited for three hours with many, many other people to hear the president speak about health care.

Felt like a campaign event. There was one very committed heckler in the back of the room (actually an econ professor if I understood right) who got hisself kicked out by the secret service. Otherwise it was all hopey yes-we-can again, which actually felt great.

Right now I think this is actually going to fucking happen. Peace train holy roller &c.

Took an hour to get out of the parking lot because Virginians are stupid.

  27. You know – I fucking hate this HCR bill for a bunch of different reasons – but I want it to pass – not just because I don’t want to say “no” to the people it will actually help – but to watch these lunatic Republican fucktards go apeshit when it passes. That’s gonna be FUN watching their spittle flecked, impotent rage.

I dream of an America where morbidly obese, viagra scarfing pillheads no longer get listened to. It’s a fantastical dream, but a good one.

  28. [re=534051]comicbookguy[/re]: Mocking is all they have.

Well, mocking and a late-stage syphilitic media empire with which to mock, that is.

  29. Limbaugh has gone after young people before. In 2007, he told listeners that Democrats were exploiting an 18-year-old Yup’ik Eskimo and that her congressional testimony of global warming made him want to “puke.”

This doesn’t concern me that much. I doubt that Limbaugh would ever regurgitate anything without immediately re-consuming it.

  30. Being a Geezer, I used to thank my lucky stars I wasn’t born in Russia or China; but now I’m wondering…I know that thugs and murderers may well be in charge of much of those Godless Countries, but do you ever have to listen to heartless, soulless, humorless dickwads like these over in those Countries? No criminal entity would allow voices like theirs to vent spleens freely on the public airwaves. They are simply too destructive to the common sense of humanity… Sadly, only in America.

  31. The fact that mothers die, every day, because of the lack of access to health care makes Rush and the others angry. It’s just that instead of getting angry at the system that allows that to happen they get angry at the sources that allow them to hear about it.

Every day I get more and more attracted to the idea of taking someplace (South Carolina? Texas? Not Florida, I live there and we have Disney World) and allowing the wingnuts to move their and create their utopia away from civilized people.

  32. I hope Glenn Beck knows that all the programs he speaks of that could have helped Marcelas’ mother are the very same sort of communist socialist policies President No-bama wants to enact on a nationwide scale. My health insurance is shitty, I have pre-existing medical conditions for which I cannot receive treatment, but I get coverage through the Community Health Plan of Washington which allows patients to pay on a sliding scale.

  33. Neatly omitted from the Rethug bloviation is that, no, this lady could NOT have obtained the health care she needed from community programs. Her condition was expensive, chronic, and serious. Community health-care programs and clinics are set up for basics, not the big stuff. So fuck off and die, Phlegmball et al., and please make it soon.

I think Wanda Sykes summed it up nicely when, in response to Limbaugh saying he hoped Obama’s health-care plan would fail: “Hell, I hope his kidneys fail.”

  34. If that kid loved his mother so much, why didn’t he go out and get a job, mmm? I’ll tell you why – because government interference makes it illegal to offer jobs to kids! THAT’S what killed this child’s mother, not the insurance industry!

  35. [re=534110]ttommyunger[/re]: No, trust me. You’re still very lucky to have been born outside of Russia/China. The vile fuckers in those countries do not say anything, they just DO horrible things.
