is this the same artist that did the George Washington vid (forty feet tall and weighs a fucking ton, saves the children, but not the British children)?
awesomeness

Man, I heard, like, muthaf**ka had like, 30 goddamn dicks.

Landstander October 17, 2008 at 1:56 pm

Wait, so this is not Kate Beaton? Or it is?

slappypaddy October 17, 2008 at 1:58 pm

That cat is black. It probably eats acorns. And watermelon. And it probably walks by itself, and all places are alike to it. And my sentences have conjunctionitis. Vodka throatdrops will cure that. Must take some now.

[re=138368]Landstander[/re]: Somebody else … sorta Beatonesque, although there is only one Kate Beaton.

[re=138359]liberaltruthsayer[/re]: I don’t think so. That was done by the mysterious “Cox & Colmes.”

Those sketches should be shown in every classroom in America, especially the Bush Jr. one. No child will be left behind.

My favs are 39-44. And all those laurel wreaths. Wicked skills.

WindbagCity October 17, 2008 at 2:29 pm

Ken, could you bring up Kate Beaton every few months, just for the publicity? Or better yet, give her a call next time the Wonkette girl needs an update, or some other kind of Arts for the site…

Contest: At what point in the cartoon did the blotter acid kick in?

vegipowrd October 17, 2008 at 2:40 pm

The cartoons are done by Brad Neely (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Neely). Dudes stuff is the funny. He was on SuperDeluxe while that was still updating, he’s worked with South Park and some other stuff on Comedy Central.
This comic looks similar but I can’t find his name on it anywhere.

That W one almost made me feel bad for him.

Iggy Plop October 17, 2008 at 2:49 pm

there’s no way one dude can be president of all this.

Ken Layne October 17, 2008 at 2:55 pm

[re=138406]vegipowrd[/re]: End of the Washington clip sez (C) Brad Neely.

[re=138398]WindbagCity[/re]: Why are you asking? She’s Canadian. Proof: http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v169/234/25/164200733/n164200733_31129343_554.jpg

[re=138368]Landstander[/re]: Everything needs more Kate Beaton. EVERYTHING.

ReelectTilden October 17, 2008 at 3:52 pm

Could’ve been harder on Hayes.

ReelectTilden October 17, 2008 at 3:58 pm

[re=138498]Maus[/re]: Agree

WindbagCity October 17, 2008 at 4:12 pm

[re=138440]S.Luggo[/re]: Are you sure she’s not Narnian?

edgydrifter October 17, 2008 at 4:24 pm

[re=138368]Landstander[/re]: No, Beaton is funny, draws well, and is mostly incomprehensible to non-Canadians. This is not Beaton’s work.

edgydrifter October 17, 2008 at 4:26 pm

[re=138498]Maus[/re]: Agreed. Everything’s better with Beaton.

Didn’t mean to post that shit twice, sorry.

Ken Layne October 17, 2008 at 11:15 pm

Well jesus, if we are going to talk about Kate Beaton, let’s at least link to Kate Beaton. (She is also in the Wonkette blogroll, to your left.)
