Why does Barack Obama continue to want this dumb nomination, aside from his insurmountable lead in pledged delegates, states, and the popular vote? According to a new Rasmussen poll, 22% of Democrats think Obama should drop out, and the same percentage thinks Hillary (who has already lost) should. The most cosmic mindfuck of all, however: 62% of Democrats "aren't ready for either candidate to leave the race." Why such masochism in the Democratic party? This is precisely why John Kerry will emerge as both the presidential and vice-presidential candidate after the brokered convention. [Rasmussen]

who ARE these 62%??? What the hell do they think having both these people STILL running is doing for the party except making Walnuts McAneurysm look like a prize?
People aren't thinking this is destroying the Party like the heads do. They like being engaged. They like having their votes count. That's why the Dems are registering in record numbers.
Well, at least we know the Republicans don't have a monopoly on racists. The Dems have got about 22% of them too. (Maybe some of them are against Obama on merits, but let's face it: most of them aren't.)
100-62=38
38% of people think one or more should get out of the race.
If 22% think it should be Clinton/Obama to leave. Then something in the neighborhood of 16% think they should both leave?
Awesome! Fun with statistics.
Uh, I got news for ya, those "record numbers" are folks just getting their kicks trying to bury the Clintons.
Maybe 22% of Democrats should drop out of the Democratic Party?
"aren't ready for either candidate to leave the race."
I thought we were over this RACE issue, but nooo, people just kept it going and going. Just wait for crazy 'ol McCain to come out on top for that one, Paultard Rasmussen...
@Electoral College Dropout: Most likely the 16% responded "no opinion", because they're too busy with the important election of '08-- American Idol.
@Pupster:
Yeah. I realized after reading about an exit poll from the S.C. DEMOCRATIC primary: something like 55% of Clinton voters would vote for McCain over Obama if the Luo Tribesman were nominated. (the percentage of Obama voters who would cross party lines was much, much lower.)
Hillary or Obama should drop out.
Dubya should drop in every so often.
And Mike Gravel's just gonna drop acid.
In a related story, 40% of all sick time is taken on Mondays and Fridays.
72 percent of respondents "just want them to fuck and get it over with."
What percentage thinks they should both drop out? I bet it's higher than you think.
@Mo MoDo: How could it be higher than 100% ?
@Mo MoDo: It said 6%.
20% of Democratic voters are drop outs.
Further, 33% of those polled stated that angels are real and visit people regularly, and the moon landing was faked.
and 30% said this whole thing made them want to drop acid.
Of COURSE a certain % of Democrats want a Democrat to drop out of the race; I'm sure they would like McCain to drop out of the race too.
Also, 90% of restaurant patrons said diners should give away their food for free.
22% of Democrats actually believe Hillary is a woman. 62% of Democrats just can't fucking pay attention.
17% think we should get out of Vietnam now.
well most of that 22% thought that when they said obama should drop out of the race they meant that obama should turn white.
No, no, you wanted to use a photo of the poster for the remake, the one with Ashton Kutcher.
53% of these statistics that come out are total bullshit.
One Fifth is all I need, each and every day, of Irish Whiskey, until this whole fucking mess is over with and I can go back to hating republicans.
Suddenly, I miss the Kucinich campaign.
The democrats are close to a historic sweep of everything as the GOP has fallen and can't get up. Lets prop up Clinton and her hubby. It'll be a hoot to see the dems throw away another surefire victory. Imagine the gaiety and fun as people celebrate 4/8 more years of GOP prosperity and lawlessness.
I want to hear what Tony The Tiger says about this issue, while I hit him with an oak plank ripped from a shipping pallet.
Actually, the media just made up the whole poll to justify the fact that they will do anything to get to a brokered convention so they have something to report.
@weazel: Could I possibly get sloppy seconds on that?
If only some 1930s cowboy humorist from Oklahoma had said something apt about the Democratic Party. If only.
10% are gay.
The Navajo Nation in particular is extremely upset at what they believe to be an attempt by SENATOROBAMAS (aka THE GOOGLES) to harness the Indigineous Factor.
They presumably want him to fire himself from the campaign.
Can unaffiliated websites offer absurd T-Shirts that have absolutely nothing to do with Barack Obama's campaign?
YES WE CAN!

@Botswana Meat Commission FC: Let's see what the Democratic Party would look like in the Southern states if blacks drop out of the Party. Are there any white Democrats left in the South?
@Harvey Birdman: It's a poll of Democrats. Since we know 50% of Republicans are closeted gays, we know that less than 10% of Democrats are gay or the numbers just wouldn't add up.
So when is Obama gonna get the Vince Foster treatment?
@metropolitan: Well, hell, he's halfway there already.
@Pupster: Ooh, ooh! There's me. Plus a bunch of womynz, homos and hippies.
@Speed Ball: What in the hell is that?!!
They both want it SO badly it's almost Shakespearean, except for the lousy rhetoric...
Jeez, what's WRONG with the old fashioned fight to the finish, let's get set for two days in Denver, 24 hour coverage....
Kiddies, back in the day, the friggin' broadcast networks covered conventions-even Republican conventions-because there was a LOT of crazy last minute stuff going on...
Just when the race is getting INTERESTING, you children want to call it off???
Toughen up.
@IWW:Here's a little game, the following are years of party nominating convention floor fights:
'76 GOP
'68 Dems
'52 Dems
'48 GOP
What do these years and parties have in common?
They all lost.
@Lazy Media: Wait, I know this, being an Okie...
Was it: Ron Paul stayed flat?
I don't trust any poll from a company that can't do math. 22 + 22 + 62 = 106%
Too. Small. Of. An. Amount.
so how many times did they poll billary, howard and mark?
@Pupster: It's the same reason babies and retards like being talked to. They just want to know someone is paying attention.
Hillary's holding a two and an eight. And, yet, you see that check mark by her name.
She can only lose if she folds her hand.
