Senate Actually Does Something?

by Megan Carpentier

A light day on 395The Senate yesterday finally figured out that passing a compromise bill that will actually accomplish some (if not all) of their goals is better than standing on principle and never accomplishing anything ever. I guess you really can teach an old dog new tricks! So, new CAFE standards are in, tax incentives for renewables are out and Bush is actually not going to veto it. Happy Holidays to all (except the car companies)! [CQ Politics]

To improve site performance, we did a thing. It could be up to three minutes before your comment appears. DON'T KEEP RETRYING, OKAY?

Also, if you are a new commenter, your comment may never appear. This is probably because we hate you.
