Mark Dayton of Minnesota is rocking the house! Senate, whatever. Rocking it in an incredibly measured, understated Midwestern way. He notes that he found out about the lack of evidence for WMDs in Iraq not from the Senate, not from the president, not from the Pentagon, from the Washington Post: “I might as well skip all the top secret briefings and just read the papers.” Despairing over the unquestioning support some give the war, he said simply that they must think it best to “support my president wrong or wrong.”He also said something about a “free and vigilant press,” whatever that is. He probably also believes in Santa Claus.
