Tragically pregnant first twin Jenna Bush is being rushed into a marriage with former boyfriend and Karl Rove lackey Henry Hager, but it wasn’t always tears and maternity clothes for the ex-couple. Here they are at a baseball game, two-and-a-half years ago. Jenna’s got her Corona and Henry’s got the bland blank face of a tobacco executive’s son.

Oh, and look at these happy youngsters enjoying some kind of dinner party back in November 2005, apparently near the end of their relationship.
Were they ever happy to be around each other? The answer is, “Yes, in this one undated picture just handed out by the White House.” This photo was obviously taken about a half-dozen years ago, because they both look about 15. Who knew everything would go so terribly wrong?
Reuters dug up this photo, also from spring of 2005, showing a happy (drunk) Jenna laughing at something going on outside the frame while simultaneously ignoring Henry, who is kind of dumbly laughing along but looking at her and not at whatever’s supposed to be so fucking funny. Awkward!
Here they are again, at a college basketball game two-and-a-half years ago. Jesus, they’re not even watching the same sport.
So, the last known photograph of the “couple” is the grim-faced dinner party shot from November of 2005. Please speculate wildly as to what the hell is going on.

From these pictures you would have to assume they were never that happy, granted pictures don’t always tell the story.
