As we reach the eleventh hour of the 100-Hour Reich, Ted Kennedy seems to be the only one standing up to this Surge absurdity while Nancy Pelosi has boldly banned smoking in the Speaker’s Lobby.
This is the defining moment of this first 11% of the Democrats’ Legislative Bonanza: We’re six short hours away from Bush declaring World Wars III, IV and V and the House Leadership is worried about John Boehner having a smoke after hours of tobacco-free drudgery on the House floor.
“The days of smoke-filled rooms in the United States Capitol are over,” Pelosi lied. Everybody can still smoke in their offices.
