The New York Post frothed with indignation across its four-page editorial section Friday in response to reports that Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart may have asked Bill Burkett for about Burkett’s mystery memos. Later that day, of course, the Fort Worth Star Telegram retracted its account of Lockhart’s alleged involvement. The Post’s correction is on the way, pending further comment from Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Dick Gephart.
