DoD staffers aren’t even waiting for the official Senate vote; they’re so sick of Rumsfeld that portraits of Robert Gates are already on the walls.
That smoke you see coming from the central plaza is just the huge pile of burning Rummy pictures. CNN claims Gates’ picture is already on the Pentagon website, too, but that’s either wrong or some over-eager DoD nerd just got shipped to Gitmo.
