The narcissism of the Note knows no bounds. From this morning’s edition:

The New York Times’ Elisabeth Bumiller offered a Sunday adieu to her beloved White House beat by trying to knock down some misperceptions. LINK

Her gutless failure to attack The Note was pathetic. (And that is NOT an inside joke.)

We share the puzzlement of this reader: “What’s with the Note’s bitchy side item regarding Bumiller’s [article]? At first, I thought it was a joke but, after reading, it seemed like some creepy ‘if I can’t have you, nobody will’ attack. Is Helperin off his meds, or just pissy he never got some Bumiller ass?”
